squidoo-logoHere’s a nifty way to make money online using the eBay affiliate program and a Squidoo Lens that can be set up in no time at all.

You don’t need a website or a blog to implement this strategy, although having one would definitely be helpful; you only need to learn how to develop a highly searched for, low competition keyword.

First, you need to sign up for the eBay Affiliate Program.  They will pay you $25 for every new active user that you send to eBay.

In order for the user to be considered active, they must be a new user and they must at least place a bid on an item in  eBay.  They don’t necessarily have to win the item, just bid on it.

What you do next, is find a product that eBay sells and link to that product or product category.  When you send someone through that link to eBay; you can make  a $25. referral fee for every visitor that signs up with them.

The trick is finding a product that has a high search count keyword phrase, yet has relatively little or low competition in that niche market.

You need to dig around to find out what people are really searching for; but when you have selected a keyword phrase that meets this criteria, you are ready to move on to the next step.

One of the many benefits of using the eBay Affiliate program is access to their many useful tools.

The one you will be using is the Editor Kit, which allows you to link to any search term on eBay.

In the Content Selection section, the keyword phrase that you researched for your product, can be inserted into the “Search keywords” box.

The next thing you must enter is the Provider; which is who you signed up with.  If you signed up with Commission Junction, also insert your Commission Junctiion PID.

Go to the bottom of the page and click “Continue”, to move to the next page where you pick up the “sniplet” code you will need to place on your web page.

If the preview underneath the code is not to your liking, you can go back and tweak the code.  Now when anyone who goes to eBay, signs up using your link, and places a bid within 30 days; you will get $25.00 from eBay.

When you are satisfied with the results, you can move on to the next phase and sign up for a Squdoo account to create a Squdoo Lens, if you have not already done so.

Squidoo is a free site that ranks very high with the Google search engines.

So,when you create a Squidoo Lens, which is in this instance a promotional sales page for the product you researched;  and front load your keyword phrase in the subject, title, and content of your Squidoo Lens; you can be sure the Lens will be viewed by a large number of visitors searching for that specific keyword.

Place the “sniplet” code into the Squidoo Lens page and you’re done.  Now anyone clicking through your links to eBay who signs up and bids within 30 days, will earn you a $25. referral.

Making money online using the eBay affiliate program couldn’t be made any easier using this strategy, except perhaps for searching the right keyword phrase.
